Walltown Summer 2025Walltown Summer Camps are immersions into arts programming based on carefully selected popular themes.
Explorer Mini-Camps - ages "mature 3" to 6 ~ $100 Monday - Wednesday, 9am - 12pm daily Explorer/Performer in Training (PIT) Camps: - ages 5-14 (vary/camp) ~ $330 Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm daily 2025 Specials Camps - PIT June 30-July 3 (1/2 day camp) $150 June 30-July 11 (2-week/9-day) musical theater camp $600 |
Camp fees are not prorated due to student absences, however, in the unlikely event an entire camp is cancelled, school credit for a different camp or session class will be offered.

Drop-Off/Pick-Up:

Staff will be available to receive students by 8:40am on camp days.
Explorer campers should be picked up no later than 12:30. PIT campers should be picked up no later than 3:30pm. Please bring your students to the door to check them in. You must also come to the door to check them out at the end of the camp day. |
Camp Do's & Don'ts:
Please make sure your camper is prepared for the week. . .

FOOD ~ We partner with the Food Service Program at the Food Bank to provide hot lunch and additionally provide snacks for our campers. We have limited ability to service specialized diets. If your child is a finicky eater or has dietary restrictions, you may consider sending lunch and/or snacks that they can/will eat.
WATER ~ We try to make sure all campers stay hydrated throughout the day. Please provide a water bottle with your camper's name written on it (we have a bottle filler) ATTIRE ~ Our campers are active throughout the day. Please have them wear comfortable clothes to move around in and play in ELECTRONICS ~ Our camp day is structured for interactive learning and creative play. Please DO NOT allow your campers to bring electronic devices to camp. Use of cell phones and other devices is not permitted during camp hours. Any devices that a student brings to camp must remain in their backpack for the duration of the camp day |

Each Friday before your child(ren)'s camp, we will post any initial instructions for the coming camp. During the camp week, additional instructions given to the campers will also be posted here. Be sure to check this page for the most current info on items your camper may need

Camp Performances:
|
Each week on the last day of camp, families are invited to a mini-presentation showcasing what the campers worked on that week. Pre-Explorer presentations begin at 11:30 on Wednesdays and regular camp performances begin at 2pm on Fridays. Shows last 30 -90 minutes depending on the camp.

Artemisa Garcia Gomez Dancer, Musician, Vocalist 23 year old Durham native, Artemisa started learning to dance at Walltown when she was 3. A dance as her primary passion, Arte also sang in Walltown productions Indigo Blue and The Durham Nutcracker. With demonstrated skill and a natural leadership quality, Arte was tapped to teach ballet and tap during the school year, and worked summer camps both during high school and for several years afterward. Arte loves the tug of excitement and fulfillment she found teaching children and is looking forward to working with our youngest stars this Summer. |

The Princess & The Frog Camp Lead
Brianna Williams ECU Senior (Music Education Major w/concentration in Voice) Involved in music since she was born, Brianna was taking part in many different choirs since she was able to hold a tune and attending classes, both music and dance, at Walltown Children’s Theatre from the age of 5. Brianna plays many different instruments and is currently the president of ECU's music-oriented service fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi. She writes and composes music of her own and hopes to inspire a love of music in other children and youth through teaching high school choir or band, or elementary school general music. |
