At Walltown Children’s Theatre, we believe that strong partnerships between families and staff are essential to creating a vibrant, inclusive, and enriching environment for our students. That’s why we’ve established the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)—a group of engaged and enthusiastic parents who help shape the Walltown experience from the inside out.

What is the PAC?
The PAC is a small, representative group of parents who serve as thought partners and liaisons between families and the school. This committee helps strengthen communication, encourage family involvement, and provide valuable insight into the needs and experiences of our community.

Who Serves on the Committee?
The PAC includes up to 12 families, with members drawn from each of Walltown’s three program divisions:
  • 4 families from Explorers (ages 3–7)
  • 4 families from Performers in Training (ages 8–12)
  • 4 families from Pre-Professional (ages 13–18)
We intentionally select members who have demonstrated care, commitment, and a willingness to contribute to the life of the school.

What Do PAC Members Do?
  • Attend Quarterly Meetings
Share feedback, hear updates, and engage in open conversation about how things are going.
  • Collaborate on Creative Ideas
Help brainstorm ways to enrich the student and family experience across programs.
  • Support Event Coordination
Offer light guidance and support for school-wide activities and performances—without taking on every task.
  • Advise on Fundraising and Outreach
Share ideas and explore opportunities that align with Walltown’s mission and build a stronger future for all.
Be on the lookout for upcoming initiatives and updates from our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)!
PAC-led projects are designed by families, for families—and they can only succeed with the engagement and support of our full Walltown community. Your participation makes the difference!
Our Fundraising: A Collective Commitment
At WCT fundraising isn’t just about raising money—it’s about sustaining a shared vision for accessible, high-quality arts education for all youth.

Why Fundraising Matters
Walltown is a nonprofit organization. Each year, we build a thoughtful “paper budget”—a plan for what we hope to offer our students. But that budget only comes to life through successful fundraising efforts. Tuition covers only a portion of what it costs to run our programs. Everything else—scholarships, productions, staff support, building improvements, and more—relies on contributions from individuals, businesses, and families like yours.

One School, One Mission
We ask all families—whether their child is in dance, drama, music, or technical programs—to support school-wide fundraising. That’s because the success of any one program depends on the health of the whole organization.

For example, our Dance Company is a high-visibility group that represents Walltown at regional and national events. Their national training and group competition costs are already built into our school-wide budget. These opportunities not only benefit those dancers—they help Walltown build a stronger reputation, attract funders, and open doors for all students.

We do not support fundraising efforts that are earmarked for individual programs unless those expenses have been approved and included in our annual budget. This approach ensures equity and keeps our fundraising efforts focused and sustainable.

Contributing Ideas & Budget Suggestions
If you have ideas for items you’d like considered for future budget inclusion—such as new uniforms, equipment, or supplemental resources—please reach out to your program director or to the Executive Director. Some items may be added to our general budget, offered as rental or subsidized options, or phased in based on funds raised.
For example:
  • Uniform funds raised in the past year will be honored.
  • Future needs like bags or updated costumes will depend on funding capacity and community-wide input.

25th Anniversary & Facility Improvements
2025 marks Walltown’s 25th anniversary, and we’re celebrating not only with performances—but with a renewed investment in our home.
Recent upgrades include:
  • A newly paved parking lot
  • A refreshed and welcoming lobby and bathrooms
  • Critical repairs to our systems and building infrastructure
These improvements were paid for from our reserve funds, and our current fundraising efforts aim to replenish those reserves to keep Walltown strong and sustainable for the next generation.

How You Can Help
  • Participate in fundraisers that support the full mission.
  • Encourage friends and family to donate or attend shows.
  • Join our Give-Back Volunteer Program, especially if you’re receiving scholarship support.
  • Stay engaged and share your ideas—we’re building this together.

We’re grateful for your partnership, your energy, and your belief in what Walltown makes possible. Together, we ensure that every child—regardless of income—can access the power of the performing arts.
Upcoming Fundraisers & Ideas
We have several exciting fundraising events and campaigns in the works to support Walltown’s programs, scholarships, and facility improvements. Whether it’s a performance, community event, or online drive—there will be meaningful ways for every family to get involved and make a difference.
Have a Fundraising Idea?
We’re always looking for creative, community-driven ways to support Walltown’s mission—and we’d love to hear from you! If you have a fundraising idea, event concept, or potential partnership that could help raise funds for our programs, scholarships, or building improvements, let us know.
Reach out to our PAC, or ED Cara Williams. Great ideas grow even stronger when we build them together.
