Walltown’s programming is thoughtfully designed to nurture young artists at every stage of their journey. To ensure that each student receives age-appropriate, skill-building instruction, our classes are grouped into instructional Divisions based on developmental readiness, artistic experience, and educational goals.
Each division reflects a unique phase of growth—from early exploration to focused training—and helps families easily identify the right fit for their child’s current stage. Whether your young artist is just beginning or preparing for a pre-professional track, our structured approach ensures a meaningful and inspiring experience.
To make navigation even easier, each division is color-coded consistently throughout our website and materials—so you can quickly find classes, performance opportunities, and resources tailored to your child’s level.

Mini-Explorers (M-EXP)Igniting the Spark (Ages 3–5/6)
Our youngest artists begin their journey here—where imagination, movement, and music come to life. Mini-Explorers are introduced to foundational elements of dance, drama, and music through joyful play, storytelling, and rhythm. With nurturing guidance and age-appropriate activities, these budding performers build coordination, confidence, and a love for the arts. |
Explorers (EXP) |
Discovering the Possibilities (Ages 6-8)
The Explorers Division offers children the opportunity to try multiple art forms in a fun, supportive environment. Through introductory classes in dance, drama, and music, students discover what excites and inspires them. Explorers build essential skills while gaining exposure to various disciplines—preparing them to pursue more focused training as they grow. |
Performers in training (PIT) |
Developing the Passion (Ages 8+)
This division is designed for students who are ready to build upon their interests and commit more deeply to their artistic development. Whether in dance, drama, or music, PIT students receive structured instruction that strengthens technique, discipline, and performance ability—while still allowing for exploration. No prerequisites are required—just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn. |
Pre-ProfessionalS (PPr) |
Owning the Craft (Placement Required)
For students pursuing a higher level of artistry, the Pre-Professional Division offers rigorous training with an emphasis on technique, discipline, and stage presence. Whether aiming for conservatory study, professional performance, or personal mastery, these artists are guided to refine their skills, push creative boundaries, and grow into confident, expressive performers. Entry is often by placement or audition. PPr students may wish to pursue membership in our Dance Company, which secures opportunities for students to participate in regional and national competitions and workshops. |
