SCHOLARSHIPS & TUITION ASSISTANCE
Making Exemplary Arts Instruction accessible to children and youth
regardless of financial means is our goal!!
About our Scholarships & Tuition Assistance
At WCT we believe that every youth has the ability to succeed when given the opportunities and support to do so. We make it our business to ensure children and youth can access our programs by consistently raising funds which support full or partial scholarships to students with demonstrated need. Each application is reviewed and considered, however an application does not guarantee funds will be awarded.
Sam Sporn Guitar Scholarships are made available to WCT enrolled students as space on the roster permits, and firstly to students with demonstrated need. Guitar scholarships are awarded each session to a maximum of seven students.
Tuition assistance funds are distributed on a first come-first-served basis to students with demonstrated need and are valid for the full session in which application is made. As a condition of assistance, parents are generally required to volunteer in some capacity during the assistance period.

Apply for Assistance
We make applying for assistance as easy as possible to lessen the burden on what may already be a stressful situation. Please follow these simple steps:
- Review our deadlines, procedures and "giveback" requirements to determine if our assistance program will work for your family. These can be found in the Tuition Assistance & Scholarships section of the Billing/Payments page of this website (link below.)
- Complete our scholarship application
- If you don't have one already, create an account in our DSP Portal using the link on the registration page of our website. This will ensure that we can apply any applicable credits immediately, and you can complete the enrollment process.
- Office staff will reach out to you to schedule a meeting with theExecutive Director or one of their assigns. If you have not received an email/phone confirmation within 2 weeks of applying, please reach out to us at [email protected] to ensure your application was received. Please bring your student with you to the meeting. Depending on the classes requested, it MAY be necessary to have one of our instructors assess their abilities to ensure proper placement. We also ask that you bring proof of income, such as your most recent two paystubs.
- After your interview, we will notify you of your status and assistance level (if funding is offered).
